One night in Thailand.Yea yea, I know I've been here for many nights by now, in fact 25 nights. Hahaha... But, last night was one special night.
We all went to Suan Lum Night Bazaar. Book has organised it, and pretty soon almost everyone was going. most of our project partners went. We cabbed there, six in a cab again. Pretty amazing how they squeeze into cabs all the time. I was feeling very tired due to the lack of sleep the previous night. Ended up getting motion sickness. Wahaha. Luckily we got there before I felt too much like puking lar.
We went to the "Food Court" to eat. The food court was open air, has many shops, arranged into two rows on the sides surrounding the seats area. We took a quiet area away from the stage, where it was cooler. The stage has live performances, and there were two large screens showing ESPN. I miss ESPN so much. Wahahaha..
For food, most of them took rice with barbequed meat. I took a chicken and beef kebab. Food would have been better if I didn't get car-sick! Oh well. They ordered beer too! Three litres of Singha and three litres of Asahi. The Thais can drink pretty well, the girls can hold their liquor. Wahaha. I finally tried my Asahi. Not too bad lar, better than Tiger. Oh well. I drank less than a quarter of the cup! Wahaha.
Pearly and I shared mango with sticky rice. 60 baht! Expensive but good. Book later informed us that her mum makes very good sticky rice. Damn. Hahaha. I still liked the mango. The fruits here are so cheap and good! I'll sure miss it when I get back to Singapore. The food here is cheap and good too!!
Oh well, back to last night. Heh.
In between food, a group of us girls went walking around the Bazaar. The things were more expensive, but I still bought this bracelet. Heh. When we got back there were more drinks (the Asahi), so we just sat around, talked, joked, played, took a photo (in Bahlum's camera). Then you know what? It started pouring! Madness I tell you. When it rains in Thailand, which is rare, it pours!
We still had to go back, so some of us, including me, took Yuy's car. She drives. Yes, the girls here drive. Chevrolets, Fords, blah... Anyway, getting to the car was scary enough. Wahaha. I nearly fell, my slippers both slipped one after the other. Lucky Lingzhi held my hand after that, if not I have no idea how many times I could have fallen down la! We were already drenched by the time we got into the car. Oh ya! I was walking halfway and my foot slipped out of my slipper! Hilarious at that point of time I tell you.
We all finally took shelter while Yuy ran to her car to come pick us. We were outside this shop, and the shopowner came out and started using a broom to poke at the plastic shielding the shop. The whole load of water came splashing down! A drop went into my eye, but we didn't get too wet from that.
When we finally made it to her car, we had to squeeze again. The ride back wasn't too bad. I didn't get motion sickness either. When we got out, the whole area was floode up to our ankles. Yuck. Dirty water! But we all made it lar. Pearly's slipper floated on the water and she got stuck at the flooded area longer than me and Lingzhi lar. Hahaha. We had a good laugh after that, especially when we were so engrossed in conversation that we forgot to press the lift! Wahahaha.
So I went back and bathed. Lucky it didn't blackout. There were blackouts the previous two nights, and I even nearly got stuck in the lift once. We stepped out and it blacked out. Heh. After I showered, Sebast called to ask me to go down and get the security guards to open the side gate for them. So I did. Pearly left her key dangling outside her door lar! So dangerous. I took it with me.
Ae and Kung came back with the guys, and slept over. Did I mention that Kung and Sebast's together? Anyway, Ae got sick, and we all took care of him... Awww..... No lar, we just asked him to wash up and tucked him in thats all. Wahaha. He's fine already lar. No big deal.
It blacked out after that though. Most of us went to Bahlum's room in the end, to chat, eat, gossip, watch tv. At about 3 we went back to our rooms to sleep. I slept til almost 12 today though. Heh.
So why is last night special? The rain and the blackouts, and the fun we had before that! I guess I can't explain well, and the photos are with Bahlum. Haha. I feel like putting up the Prom night photos. Someone encourage me to? Lalala... I shall just put one! Got more fun ones! Tell me if you want to see more! =)

So here I am again, sitting at the mosquito feeding area of the school, the only place which has wireless at night...The mosquitoes here really need to go on a diet I tell you! Bet they're all fat on our blood! Hmph.Lets take a look at what I did today!
Woke up around nine plus, washed up and went down to the lab.
Used the computer abit, and went down for lunch. Ate this pork's leg noodle.
Went back to the lab, started fermentation of Monascus, made slant agars, inoculated slant agars. Somehow my slant agars always get contaminated! Damn.
No medicine testing today. Went to the mall, ate japanese food, walked the night market again(so many times that its so boring already), took the 7 baht transport(some bus thingy) back.
Went to family mart, bought water and sausage, and now sitting here at the mosquito feeding area...
I guess this entry really has nothing much to read about huh? Oh well. Have nothing much to blog about. Life here is fun, but sometimes quite monotonous. It'll help if I had Kaan or Joycie around lar. But unfortunately that's not quite possible...
Oh! There's this prata man who comes near our dorm!! I'm craving prata lar. Hahaha... I'm gonna get fatter when I get back. Eeeeek.

Oh well. Its the 22nd of March. The results just came out. Can't say I'm happy about the results. Expected better lar. But I guess its just life. I've just got to work harder in year three. Wonder how will I ever survive in uni. If I ever get there. Sigh.I haven't had much to do for my attachment so far either.
The things I've done so far:
*Prepare culture medium
*Inoculate slant agars
*Inoculate plates
*Check for growth
Thats all mostly. Hahaha. Really slack so far. Really wish I had more to do so I would be more occupied lar. Guess not so soon lar. I've got another 25 days here. Well, its still less than a month! Hahahaha. K lar, I wanna go stone already. I'll blog again sometime ba. Byeeee~

I'm really bored these few days, so I guess I'll blog lar. Hahahaha... Let me post some pictures!
This is my room! Hahaha... Well, part of it. You can see the bed and the mirror. In front of the bed is the tv, which doesn't show much interesting shows lar. The tv is on the extension of the study table, which is really bright. Great for reading and writing! Next to the bed there's a huge window! Really bright in the day when I draw the curtains! Yay!
I couldn't get blogger to upload all my photos, so I only managed this fountain from the view I get from my window. The fountain is part of the school, and when it's on (yes, it gets switched off), a rainbow can be seen! Hahahaha! The rest of the view's not bad too! But I couldn't upload it.
This is a close up of my bed and the lamp. Hahahaha. The table got messier as days got by. Oops!
Food! This is what I ate in this place called BKK grill. The food here is really good! And cheap too! You'll never find such prices in Singapore. An average meal with drinks cost about 40 Baht, which is less than 2 dollar sing! Wahahaha. For this feast in BKK grill, its about 59 Baht. Two dollars plus sing! And eating in Pizza hut only cost us about five dollars for pizza and fries. Hahaha.
Their taxis are really colourful around here. I managed to capture a pink one. I like the orange ones! Hahaha! The meters run really slowly... No midnight charges here too! And we once squeezed six people into the cab. Eeek! Cabs in Singapore are hardly willing to take five! I was the last to get in, and my leg was still dangling out when the cab started moving! Freaky I tell you...
Anyway, it's been very boring at times for me here. Simply because all my friends have started on their projects and I'm still free. Hahaha.
Wish my baby was here with me leh. I miss you!! U better take care in Singapore k?
Sigh... Nothing I do can get my other pictures posted! Oh well. Then I guess I'll just have to stop here. Bleah.

I'm doing fine here, just missing my baby alot. Hahaha. There's limited places with internet connection, so I can't come online that much. But it's good enough! Wahahahaha..
